Where should you head on your next European City Break?

Budapest has become one of Europe’s best-loved short breaks, and it’s easy to see why. Head to Strøget and shop ‘til you drop at Copenhagen’s largest shopping area, with an array of budget-friendly chains to some of the world’s most expensive brands. 

This urban paradise is full of character, you can’t walk a mile without bumping into an artful masterpiece or a hidden gem. From treasure-packed museums, vintage shops and quirky cafes, Amsterdam is known as a cosy city that is more easily experienced rather than defined. The shimmering canals line the city interlinked with drawbridges, enabling beauty to be found around every corner. You can’t help but soak up in the atmosphere when you amble through the lively squares, taking in the history of a time gone by. 

This fairy tale city is one of Europe’s best-preserved, cobbled lanes and photogenic canals make for the perfect Instagram shot. Chocolatiers are found down every street making it a chocoholics dream, but it offers more than that. Markt is the main square and the heart of the old town, lined with restaurants and bars the centrepiece is the Traditional medieval buildings, dominated by the Belfort, an 83-metre-high belfry with 47 bells. You can even try the weird and wonderful makings at Bruges Beer Experience, a fresh combination of interactivity, innovative technologies and the stimulation of sense!
